Welcome to Treasure Bay’s website!
For over 15 years, Treasure Bay has been leading the development of books and materials that support parent involvement in reading. Research has consistently shown that ongoing family involvement results in significant gains in reading achievement and greater success in school.
We provide research-based book series and resources that make it simple and easy for parents to get involved and be successful in helping their children. The results are significantly more parent involvement, improved reading skills, and students who enjoy reading. (For research data on improved fluency score, please click here.)
Most schools use our books for family engagement in reading at home, but our resources can be used with the same effectiveness by reading tutors and reading buddies in the classroom. We have resources for students from Pre-K through 4th grade - including resources that have proven to be particularly effective with reluctant and struggling readers. Plus, we have solutions for ELL/ESL students and their parents.
Below is a brief overview of many of our book series and resources (including e-books for your iPads!). Please explore our website and if you have any questions, please e-mail us via the "Contact Us" link in the red bar at the top of the site or call us at 1-800-476-6416.
For thousands of schools and school districts across the country, the key to getting parents involved in reading is We Both Read. This series, which features a shared reading format, has proven to dramatically increase parent involvement in reading and has been particularly effective with reluctant and struggling readers.
In addition to its use for at-home reading, the series is also used extensively in classrooms for buddy reading and tutored reading. A large research study on We Both Read has confirmed the success of these books in improving fluency and reading scores. There are over 50 titles in both fiction and nonfiction with 6 different reading levels. Bilingual and e-book versions are also available.
